Adnan, an endearing and passionate tour guide, knows every nook and cranny of Istanbul's vibrant streets and hidden wonders. When a travel writer from his past, the sophisticated and somewhat aloof Meredith, travels to the city for the first time, old tensions resurface—especially when cat lover Adnan learns that Meredith’s disdain for his favorite animal hasn’t changed. Their views couldn’t be more different, and yet, fate seems determined to throw them together as they explore the city he loves.

As Meredith works on a series of articles about Istanbul’s cultural gems, with Adnan determined to show her the best the city has to offer, the two find themselves navigating not just the historic landmarks, but also their undeniable chemistry. Along the way, a mischievous feline makes sure to insert herself into the picture, forcing Meredith to confront her aversion to cats—and her growing feelings for the tour guide who got away.

Whiskers and Wanderlust is a charming romantic comedy about second chances, unlikely connections, and the unpredictable adventure of love. Join Adnan and Meredith as they discover that the heart—much like the city of Istanbul—holds countless surprises.

Meredith gave herself one last appraisal in the mirror. She had learned the art of elegant air travel by now. Gone were the days of her youth, showing up for the airport in sweatpants and her hair in a messy bun. As a renowned travel writer, airports, lounges, and first-class cabins were the new boardroom, the new networking event, the sort of places where opportunity could lie around every corner.

You don’t want to disqualify yourself for the opportunity when the owner of the next Michelin starred hot spot is passing out invitations, she reminded her reflection. Which is why you are now the person who needs to hear the announcement that, in the event of a water landing, high heels should be left behind.

She looked down at her feet, wincing at the way her slingback was already rubbing uncomfortably on the back of her ankle. It was going to be a long day, and she was glad that she would be sitting for most of it.

Meredith made her way down to the lobby of the Hotel Seoul, returning the warm greetings of the staff member who was waiting for her at the front desk. Though there was a twinge of anxiety evident in the voice and mannerisms of the woman—she worked in the travel industry, of course she knew who Meredith Crowne was—she stopped herself from offering anything more than her warmest smile. Years ago, she would have dropped her voice to a whisper and let the young employee know that any mentions of the hotel would be very positive, enjoying it as the nerves visibly melted from the woman’s face.
